Compassion is an evangelical Christian child sponsorship organisation who give loving Christians a chance to make a difference. Rather than being overwhelmed by the staggering statistics of poverty we believe it is our Christian responsibility to help the poor as Christ did.
Cross Rhythms City Radio on 101.8FM in Stoke-on-Trent and Newcastle-under-Lyme is a local community station undergirded by Christian values. This station is re-broadcast online at www.crossrhythms.co.uk/radio. It aims to meet the needs of the local community in Stoke-on-Trent and the model has been so successful other FM stations in Plymouth and Teesside have also been set up. Their goal is ten stations in 5 years.
The Saltbox supports, encourages and promotes the work of Christian churches providing a voice for faith groups to highlight the importance of their community work. The Saltbox identifies potential partnership opportunities for faith groups with statutory, voluntary and community sector partners to help bring about community cohesion and transformation.
Premier broadcasts 24 hours a day offering a wide and varied range of entertaining and informative programming based on the beliefs and values of the Christian faith. The major emphasis is on news, current concerns and lifestyle issues and there are also programmes that explain and commend Christian belief. Praise and worship songs and traditional, modern and classic hymns and music are mixed together to create a unique sound. In a practical way Premier also responds to its listening audience through Lifeline, its telephone helpline service.
