Adoration 09 is the 2nd event taking the Adoration name, but is one of a line of concerts organised by NXT Ministries in recent years.
In 2001 a national poll voted Stoke-on-Trent the worst City to live in the UK. This poll looked at areas such as health, education, unemployment and poverty levels. As a response the church mobilized into action and prayer. The city leaders have since met monthly to pray and work together and have seen transformations, both physically and spiritually, throughout the City. Many green shoots have appeared across the Stoke in unexpected places with City Councillors / police / health agencies taking the church seriously. A number of churches have seen significant growth with new churches being planted across the City.
As part of this move of God within the City NXT committed to bring the best in Christian music to the heart of the City – to bless the Church and engage in mission. Over the last 2 years we have organised an event primarily for the Church and Christians and those perhaps on the fringes of our church to engage with. Last year seeing approx 2,000 people join with us.
