In
1982 a dream and a vision came alive. Revd. Bazil Meade, with the help
of Lawrence Johnson, Delroy Powell and John Francis, made a mark in
history pioneering the first concert gospel choir in Britain – the
London Community Gospel Choir (LCGC)
Trying
to fit
LCGC into a neat slot is virtually impossible. They are adaptable,
flexible and create dynamic melodies with rich harmonies whether they
are performing as an octet or a 30-strong choir. LCGC is known for
their funky gospel flair, swing-beat, R'n'B, traditional and soulful
arrangements, with invigorating choreography and vocal gymnastics.
LCGC
are outstanding to watch!
Its
members perform just about anywhere: private corporate functions,
after-show parties, conferences, schools, cabaret functions, clubs,
weddings, christenings, funerals, prisons, churches, open-air
festivals, theatres and concert halls.
Controversial,
Professional, Energetic, Inspiring and Spirit-filled! Whatever
adjective you choose to describe the sound and vision of the London
Community Gospel Choir, ‘there ain’t no stopping them now'. They will
continue to go where angels fear to tread.

The
Johnny Parks Band combine sing-a-long melodies, genre-pushing
creativity and raw passion as they seek to break the silence endemic in
today's culture. Based in Belfast, Ireland the band have a deep desire
to see continual change take place in their country. Restoration,
peace, hope, love...and to see the walls tumble down.

The
Gentlemen have been spreading their charms in the North of England for
nearly two years but first started to win the people’s hearts after
supporting such acts as Dunyen, The Motorettes and We Are Scientists at
The Leadmill. Their unique blend of upbeat indie and funk with
occasional jazz piano has been hailed by old and young alike. Twice
packing out The Plug in Sheffield at their Album Launch in July and a
Christmas gig, their growing popularity is clear.
The
four lads are not your average Sheffield indie kids given their musical
influences. 19 year old guitarist Sean Walsh is the youngest of the
four yet he is just as likely to be found raving about Rage Against the
Machine as Duke Ellington or Miles Davis. His guitar riffs are
chewable, nutritious and carry more depth and weight than most, as he
bridges the void between rhythm and lead guitar. This makes for a very
catchy and engaging texture.

Worship.
Rock. Techno(logy). Three words that don’t seem to fit very easily into
the same sentence. Its just as well we aren’t confined to sentences.
The music of Bluetree is an experience. This experience may well be
loud, bold and energetic. It may also be soft and so quiet you can hear
the heart beat of the person beside you. You may be blown away by the
powerful thud of the kick drum or the hypnotic wail of the electric
guitars. However, if this is all you experience then your time with us
may very well have been wasted. Through all the noises and beats, all
the melodies and harmonies, what we want you to experience is the
overwhelming presence of God. We want you to forget the lights, the
stage and the hundreds of people around you. Forget the sound system
that is assaulting your body with so much bass you feel like your being
punched in the chest. We invite you to lose yourself in worship.
Worship of the Almighty. Join with us as we seek first His Kingdom.

Perhaps
Christian music's best kept secret. Over the last 6 years Trent have
been performing and leading worship at various events and festivals
throughout UK, Europe and America. Whilst being rooted in their local
church, Trent Vineyard, their vision has been to write songs that can
crossover boundaries and be found 'in the cities, on the streets, in
the bars, on the TV screens'. They have released two studio albums,
Hold On and Unfailing Love to critical acclaim. Worship leader magazine
said, "Trent creates beautiful and organic landscapes on each track
that contain musical shades of Snow Patrol and U2 .... and then there
are the lyrics!" These songs pick you up and carry you into the Lord's
Presence and transport the listener to a place of worship.
Trent's passion is to inspire and give a 'heart voice' for people to
communicate with God, and to celebrate the amazing person of Jesus.
With their forthcoming E.P, Perfect Sacrifice, the secret is sure to
get out.
